A Delay not a Denial

Well hello table, its time for another discussion. Where have I been you wonder just enhancing my brand and getting ready for a new job. That’s right a new job! More on that later, but for now let’s talk about a delay not a denial. I remember hearing a church song a long time ago that talked about Job in the bible. Now if I have to explain this than maybe you should go read the story, if you already know it than continue to read. Anyway, the song goes on to say that Job waited, he waited, he waited, he waited- he didn’t know when , he didn’t know how, but he knew that God’s delay was not a denial, he waited he waited he waited on God.

I think people have a problem with waiting. We feel that if someone says wait than they’re denying us or if someone says no than its a denial, nope it’s a delay. It took me a long time to learn the difference between a delay and an denial. When I use to get turned down for a car or credit card or even a job, I took it personal. I really felt denied even when I knew I was qualified. Ever felt like that? Well learn what a delay is versus a denial. Learn that when someone gives you a delay its because there’s something better behind door #2.

One definition of delay is a period of time by which something is late or postponed and one definition for denial is the refusal of something requested or desired. Do you see the difference? One is not a no, its saying wait and the other is a straight up no. When you see something as a delay than you’ll always see that something better is coming. It makes you be optimistic and trust God. I know it’s hard being optimistic when you’ve always been pessimistic but try it you could be surprised. What do you think table? Do you see a delay as a denial? Let me know! Check out the song below. See you at the next discussion!
