Spicy or Not, That is the Question

Well hello all of my knightly discussers. How you been? Man it’s so great to see (virtually) everyone back at the wonderful table. Yes, I know it has been awhile. No need to continue to harp on it. I’m anxious to hear all about you as well. I mean I told everyone I was starting some new ventures and I did. Unfortunately to get things up and running I had to leave the table for awhile, so here I am. Now I dwell on my things later lets get down to business. I’m a little upset people! Why, you ask? Simply put Popeyes had false advertisement and it hurt my feelings. No seriously!

Listen they have that Popeyes chicken sandwich and everyone was raving about it. Honestly I didn’t even listen because its a typical chicken sandwich. I mean people talked about it so much a man stabbed a man to death who skipped him in line for that sandwich. Now that’s a bad chicken sandwich when you can make two people lose their lives (one eternally and one to prison). Anyway it was out for awhile and now it has come back. Well a coworker and I decided to eat at Popeyes one day for lunch. He also told me how good these sandwiches were, so going against my better judgement I skipped on the spicy tenders for the spicy chicken sandwich and THAT’S WHEN IT ALL HAPPENED.

I told the young man I wanted a spicy chicken sandwich and wanted to know what kind of sauce was on it. He proceeded to tell me it was chipotle mayo. Well than give me the sandwich but I don’t want the mayo. He says and I quote “You kind of need the sauce because that’s what makes it spicy.” What! LIES! If the mayo makes it spicy than it’s not a spicy chicken sandwich it’s just a chicken sandwich with spicy sauce. I was crushed you mean you have spicy tenders, but you couldn’t make a real spicy chicken sandwich. I mean Chic-fil-a has an actual spicy chicken sandwich, but the one chicken place that makes spicy 🌶 chicken couldn’t make the actual sandwich spicy. I told the guy I couldn’t eat it. I didn’t want a chicken sandwich I wanted it hot 🥵. The disappoint I felt at that moment can not be described. I felt as if the world told me there was no more of grandma’s sweet potato pies.

If you’ve never experienced this type of disappoint I promise you one day it will come. Popeyes, too far! You should’ve had my spicy chicken sandwich. If you’re wondering if I the tenders than stop wondering because I did with Madrid gras mustard, which was delicious. It still didn’t make me happy when I was expecting a sandwich. Do you think I’m wrong for this? Have you ever wanted something so much only to find out it doesn’t exist or it was false advertisement? Let me know, but remember to keep it respectful. See you at the next discussion.

  1. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You mean to tell me that the meat is not spicy? They’ve been debating over regular chicken with sauce added? Oh my!!!… Thank goodness I had made up my mind not to even bother…. I always thought Wendy’s had the best spicy chicken anyways so I was not moved by the hype. Justified

    1. Yes Sir! The crazy thing is they have spicy chicken, but you don’t make the sandwich spicy. What kind of foolery is that, smh. Well they don’t have to worry about me and a chicken sandwich ever again, lol.
