Still Haven’t Stepped Out?

Hello Knightly talkers, we’re back at the table again and man it’s great to see everyone (virtually). Well let’s jump right in. So any one want to guess what I mean by stepping out? No! Well I mean step out on faith. You see nothing will ever happen if you sit back and talk about it. As a kid I learned how to ride my bike well after my older sister because I was afraid. When my father initially tried to teach us I just kept running into the sticker briar bush and it hurt. I just said forget it. When we moved to a neighborhood where most of the kids rode their bikes I had to either learn or be left behind. I kept wanting to go until one day when my sister hopped on her bike and went flying down the road after a kid leaving me behind is when I decided to step out and try the bike thing again, all by myself.

I was determined to go too. I got on my bike and pedaled a little but I didn’t fall, which gave me the courage to do a little more and a little more until I was out the yard and down the road. Now as a child I didn’t know faith. I was just hoping I got on this bike and didn’t fall. I even said Lord please help me, but didn’t know that I was initiating some faith into those words. Fast forward to my life now and it’s no different than when I was a child except I understand utilizing my faith so much more. I believe a lot of people are like me as a child and are scared to step out because they have been hurt from past experiences or seen someone hurt and it’s discouraging.

The hurt can come in different forms physical, mental or emotional but either way the hurt is real. But God! Why did I just put that wording like that because God can make any dream a reality? Now I don’t want to get spiritual on anyone however, she knows where her help comes from and I know that if I trust and believe I can achieve. Wait, wait, there’s work involved too. You can’t just believe it and it happens, oh no. Faith without works is dead. You must be willing to put in some work and tears to get to the end. It may be hard and seem like there’s no end, but if you just keep the faith God will open the door, but the main thing is you first have to step out. If you want to be a pianist, do you just look at the piano and hope one day you’ll learn or do you go and get lessons?

If you want to own your own business do you keep hoping that one day your ideas will manifest into reality or do you start writing a plan for capital and putting your ideas into action? You never know what would happen unless you step out. I have spoken about this topic once before. Please see my blog with Steve Harvey because we can’t talk about this enough. Stop letting your dreams die with an assumption it will fail. How would you know if you never step out? Give me some comments or questions, but keep it respectful. See you at the next discussion.
