Hello Roundtable, well it’s good to have everyone back at the table again. It’s been a little while since we last spoke. As stated before I am trying to expand my brand and focus a little on my new business venture i.e. being an author and my new position at the Department of Defense anyway enough about me let’s dive into this topic. So the question still stands what do YOU want this year?
I mean we all talk about losing weight or going to church more, but what do you really want to accomplish this year? I think the two previous ideas are great, but what are you doing to make it happen. When I went to church two Sundays ago, I go every Sunday, but two Sundays ago we had a visiting pastor and he said that you have to change you and started using the verb BE. What does that mean well instead of saying I want to do lose weight say I want to be more consistent with my weight loss or I want to BE more consistent with going to church. We all have different things that hinder us from the goals that we set, so let’s focus on those things and not the want list so much. If you want to start your own business than what’s really stopping you? I want to be better at networking or do you need to be more consistent with it? The bottom line is start using the verb TO BE.
I decided to really work on my brand this year but my next biggest hindrance to being consistent is procrastination, so I want to be timelier. I know I have to be consistent with my blogging but even more so I have the time I need to hit on my topics right then without waiting until I’m at home and in bed, yes I write some of my blogs in bed, anyway back to the topic at hand. I believe if I can do these two things than my brand could grow. So I pose the question again what do you really want this year? Better yet what are you willing to do to make it happen? What is your BE statement? I love to hear your thoughts on this. Please be respectful in your comments. See you at the next discussion.
