Act Your Age and Not Your Shoe Size

Hello Table,

I know if you’re southern you have heard this lots of times and if you’re not, it’s ok we won’t hold it against you : ), but maybe you have heard it from friends or family. So what does the saying actually mean? Well as it implies act the age that you are and not the age of your shoe size. If you’re 30 and your shoe size is 7 than act like a 30-year old not a 7 year old. Now I know there is someone out there probably thinking that this is a stupid saying but clearly you’re either the person we are speaking about or you’ve never dealt with someone like this.

I wish I could say it’s more females than males but that would be a lie. I mean honestly I have seen both sexes equally act like a child. I mean please grow up and stop throwing temper tantrums when you can’t have your way. People like this also don’t want to grow up. They are ok with not taking responsibility for their actions. News Flash: you’re an adult act like it! This is really bad when you’re in a relationship and you’re always having to watch what you say or stroke their ego, this can become very tiresome. Here’s a tip for all of you non-responsibility having, temper tantrum adults “Act your age and not your shoe size.” Any comments, gripes or questions please be sure to send me a note via the contact us page. See you at the next discussion!
