The 3 P’s

Hello roundtable, glad to see everyone back at the table again. Well I bet everyone is sitting there thinking the 3 P’s what could that be. I actually received this topic from a co-worker. We always talk about being about our business and eventually owning our own. So as we are having this conversation she states you better do your 3 P’s. “What does that mean?” I inquired. She says,” Pray, prepare, perform!”  What a mighty way of thinking. I love the fact that she started it with pray. I mean think about it everything we do should start with prayer. If the man upstairs isn’t in it than it’s doomed from the beginning. We must have God in the mix and it lines up with his will for us before we can go forward and try to make it happen.

When we seek God he may give us another task that is different from what we had in mind, but will ultimately be better for us. Don’t believe me? Then give it a try, you know the old saying try the spirit by the spirit. Well enough said. Then you must prepare, ok this one doesn’t even need explaining, but I’m going to try. Have you ever tried to start a project without first planning for it and then when issues arose you weren’t prepared to handle them? Bingo! You can’t have a plan without preparation. I mean you could but then it’s not going to work out that well for you. Now when you prepare for something I hope you plan for multiple outcomes. You know another good example is when you have to give a speech don’t you prepare before going before the audience? I would hope so. The definition of prepare is to make or get ready for use.

If you want this year to be your year than you must prepare for it. I want to build my brand well I must prepare. I have started the blog, focused on my social media platforms, networking with wonderful people, started to build my income and now I’m preparing my marketing campaign. Key word is PREPARE! Then we have perform. Well what’s the point of praying and preparing if you’re not going to do anything? You know another old saying, that is true, faith without works is dead. You can pray and prepare but if you never put anything into motion then it sits right where it started on that piece of paper or in your head. You have to do something to make your dream a reality.

I don’t care if it is uncomfortable or you get a lot of no’s, continue to do something to make it happen. I’m so about doing, my biggest problem was procrastination. Yes, I said was because now I’m definitely being more proactive with better planning. I’ve already prayed about it, planned and prepped now I’m doing. Don’t let 2018 come to an end and you’re still planning. Let me know your thoughts about it. Remember to keep it respectful. See you at the next discussion.
