Procrastination

Hello Table- well I would like to start this post by saying Happy Belated Thanksgiving. Is that even a saying? Well it is now! I know it has been awhile especially with the holidays coming and going. Let me tell you, getting ready for family to come is a big deal, so my silence is due to preparation. Now that everyone is gone, oh and school is over, I can sit at the table more.  Well what’s the topic tonight PROCRASTINATION. This is the main reason why I haven’t been to the table to talk. Oh all the other things happened too but I’ve had some time to get here but I procrastinated.

What is procrastination? The dictionary definition states it is the action of delaying or postponing something. My definition is the action of being lazy. Oh yeah I said it lazy. Now if you’re taking offense to what I’m saying then you’re probably a procrastinator. Listen I am one too but I’m not shame to admit it. We should stop being slothful in business but getting about our business. Now the saying is “The early bird gets the worm” now I’m no early bird but I’m no late bird either. I mean I live a real life with a career, kids, a husband and myself, trust me not in that order. However, if you are given a vision or an idea and comes to you more than once than maybe just maybe you’re suppose to be doing something what you were given.

Think about it like this have you ever saw something and you said man I thought about that first or tell someone your idea only to have them actually bring it to life? That’s procrastination! It took me a few talks and knocks upside my head to figure out that I’m building my brand but I’ve procrastinating and my brand has been suffering. Now that I have opened my eyes, I have started to focus on my brand. Now I have several brands one is this roundtable, another is my book brand KnightlyReads (look for it on a later post) and in the near future a non-profit, but I can’t be slothful. I have to stay diligent even when I don’t want to or other things come up, I have to find the time.  What are you being slothful about? Whatever it is don’t procrastinate and let someone else bring it to life.

Let me hear your thoughts about it. See you at the next discussion.
